This is my map, Courtyard. It is my first good forge map on foundry where I really pulled all of my ideas together. I love it, my friends love it, but with all the forge veterans on bungie.net, no one took the time to look at mine. Here is info on my my map. There are also pictures with captions too.

Notes:
*I will be adding more pictures later.
*A new version of Courtyard is now available for upload.
*This map is currently only tailored for team slayer, slayer, and King of the Hill. If people like it enough, I'll make it compatable with other gametypes!

Supported Gametypes:
*Slayer/Team Slayer

This is NOT a perfectly symmetrical map. There are pros and cons to both sides. Each side starts in one of the areas with the lower-ceiling and has access to both the courtyard, a vehicle depot, and a special feature. Some innovations that I've never before seen or heard of are the elevators I put into the map. So I'll start here.

The elevtors are quite simple. Simply put a fence box straight up, put an open box on top of another open box, and then put a grav lift in the fence box. Voila! An elevator.
Next I will talk about another big feature of my map: the sniper tower.

The sniper tower is a pretty crucial part of the map. From the outside of the courtyad (which I'll go into detail later) you can access the sniper tower. From atop, there is a sniper rifle, beam rifle, and firebomb grenades. From up here you get a pretty good vantage point, but not a perfect one.

Last but not least, I'll go into detail about the courtyard itself and the pillar in the middle.


The courtyard. Clearly, this part of the map is made for close to long range battles.

The courtyard itsef. Ah, the main element of my map, of which everything else is based upon. Of course, it does seem rather simple, and in fact it kind of is. However, there are a few supplies and weapons located here, and it you almost instantly travel here after you spawn (unless you want to go to the sniper tower). There is also a pillar in the middle, accessable by the elevators with a few little goodies on top. Here are some other pictures of the map.

Update: Thanks to the helpful new sticky, I have re-done this thread. Now pictures are right on the page, and there are better descriptions.

I think it would be easier if you made the pics a lil smaller, soo we don;t have to scroll to much. Just my opinion

Thanks for the compliment! Also, I do think the screenshots are tad big, and they ARE too wide. I can use Windows Paint a little...So, I can fix it.

BTW everone, I realize that the pictures are screwed up. Once my bro decides to break free of his Halo 3 addiction, I'll take better screenshots of my UPDATED Courtyard map. Yes, this means that people will have to download again to use the better version. Also, if people reply to this soon, I migt make it compatable with other gametypes...

Hey man, I like the map. But I think the open area in the middle could use some scenery.

I think that adding some barriers and crates in the area would add a lot to the overall gameplay. Just an idea

Yeah, I was thinking about that myself too. If people want me to, I will, and I could add more gametypes as well.

this map is so genuis i love it
it looks and feels so perfect almost just like a matchmaking game
kinda like turf with the darkness and different doors and walkways
